About me

나에 대해

I think. A lot.

To organize all my thoughts, I write. Sometimes, I’ll take pictures. Other times, I’ll scroll endlessly on social media to get out of my own thoughts and see what other people are thinking.

Simple is better.

Following UNIQLO’s release of the Masterpiece Collection, I created social media ads to collaborate the simplicity of the designs with the complexity of the materials.

The art of storytelling through garments.

The nöl collective brings the culture and traditions of Palestine to life. Hand-sewn and locally sourced, the nöl collective hopes to portray their garments as “visual manuscripts humanizing and narrating the collective labor of love behind a garment and the triumph of creativity and heritage in the face of struggle”.

I created this blog post and series of ads for the nöl collective to show my support and help facilitate resources during this time.

The Language of Tatreez

Palestinian culture and identity have been passed down through the art of tatreez for generations. This type of embroidery dates back to the Canaanite era 3000 years ago. Since then, it has told the history of Palestine through its different colors and patterns.

What was once a garment accessory is now a key identifier of Palestinian culture and a “symbol of Palestine nationalism” (Medium, 2024). The colors and patterns of each tatreez represent where a Palestinian woman is from. For example, if someone was from Bethlehem, the star of Bethlehem was commonly used. It was also used as a marriage identifier. Unmarried women used blue thread, married women used red, and widowed women stitched blue over the red thread.

The symbol of tatreez still lives on even throughout the diaspora and ongoing Israeli occupation of Palestine. The nöl collective keeps the traditions, cultures, and stories alive through their modern take on Palestinian garments.

MUJI

Print Ads

4A's MAIP Application

The ask:

Take a song lyric from your favorite song and create a series of print ads using that lyric.

The lyric:

“I want to be a human before I do some art” by RM (featuring Erika Badu).

The execution:

I wanted to introduce the concept that owners of MUJI’s aromatherapy products are the artists of their lives through which they are able to color the room with the different scents of MUJI essential oils. This control of the environment allows these individuals to feel empowered to take on their goals while also enjoying the relaxing aromas of yuzu and lavender.

Life is beautiful, but it's very easy to get wrapped up in the high-intensity of life's responsibilities. Take a break. Breathe. Rediscover yourself so that you can live life in its fullest colors. Your art is simply you.

IKEA's iconic Swedish named products take on a new meaning.

Known for being affordable and for families, the following advertisements showcase the meaningful moments that can only happen with IKEA. I wanted to play into the fact that no one knows how to pronounce IKEA product names let alone know the meaning of each.

So, why not come up with our own meanings?

The following ads show the power of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 100X Epic Zoom.

Why settle for the birds eye view when you can also get the close up shot? The idea here to show users that no matter where they are, they can achieve premium viewing.

More About me

나에 대해 더

Sometimes when words and photos aren't enough, I turn to video creation.

Recently, I've been really into short-form video content. The different shots, angles and stories have been a really fun way for me to express myself. In these cases, I feel like words by themselves don't do it justice.

Here are some of my "for fun" projects.
